Closing the Year with Beauty and New Traditions

Dear Friend,

It’s been over a month since my last note to you, and now, here we are—at the edge of December, with the year quietly winding down. These final days of the year have a special kind of magic, don’t they? Time feels slower, more intentional, and the moments we gather feel even more precious.

This season, I’ve been pulling close to family and savoring the joy of small, meaningful celebrations. Zye, our incredible L’Eau Hill house manager, turned 21 this month, and we celebrated the milestone right here at L’Eau Hill—21 friends, 21 stories, and so much laughter filling every corner of this house. It was beautiful to witness. To remember that these spaces exist not just for events but for life’s little milestones and the people who make them unforgettable.

Thanksgiving, too, was one for the books. Simple, intimate, and full of gratitude. The beauty wasn’t in grand gestures, but in candlelight flickering over shared meals, the clinking of glasses, and conversations that lingered long after the plates were cleared. This season has taught me that beauty isn’t always loud—it’s often found in the quiet, thoughtful pauses where we gather, share, and connect.

And now, as we close the year, I’m beginning something new—something special that feels like the perfect extension of this season’s intention: a Homebody Holiday Estate Sale. A gathering of treasures—curated pieces that carry stories, waiting for their next home, their next chapter.

I’ve gathered a collection of pieces that carry stories: Some are from my own home, others from close friends, and a few are gifts from distributors I admire—things too beautiful to be forgotten, pieces they could no longer fit into their warehouses. We believe in honoring beauty, extending life, and being good stewards of the things we hold dear.

When to Join Us:

Where:
2285 Pryor Road Southwest Atlanta, GA, 30315 (Lakewood)
(L’Eau Hill is busy hosting events this weekend, so we’re gathering here instead.)

You’ll find everything from dining tables to console and buffet tables, nightstands to hold your favorite books, home decor to spark a corner back to life, and even a few pieces of designer clothing that deserve a second story.

This isn’t just a sale—it’s an invite to join me in a quiet pause in the busyness of the season. A chance to wander, sip, and maybe take home something unexpected. Something that speaks to you, that carries its own story into your home.

As we step into the final days of the year, I hope you’re finding time to slow down, to gather, and to savor the beauty in simple things. And I hope to see you this weekend—to share a moment of connection, discovery, and maybe a new tradition to carry forward.

Wishing you a season filled with warmth, wonder, and the kind of beauty that lasts long after the year has turned.

With gratitude and joy,
Erika
