The Perfect Saturday: Pool Pilates, Smoothies, and Community

Dear Friend,

There’s a certain kind of magic that happens at L’Eau Hill, especially on Saturdays when the world seems to slow down just a bit. A couple of weeks ago, we hosted what I can only describe as the perfect Saturday—a day of pool Pilates and smoothies that left me feeling more connected and fulfilled than I have in a long time. Originally planned for July, we had to reschedule thanks to a surprise visit from Mother Nature. And you know what? I think it was meant to be because the rain date couldn’t have turned out better. With a smaller, more intimate group of about eight incredible women, the day unfolded into something truly unforgettable.

The morning started like a dream. Imagine this: the soft glow of early sunlight filtering through the trees, a gentle breeze brushing against your skin, and the soothing sound of a sound-bath meditation setting the tone for the day. That was how we began—yoga-inspired stretching led by Tee from Vital Balance, with the music of nature playing in the background. Tee introduced us to this incredible chest-opening stretch using styrofoam blocks, and let me tell you, it was life-changing. I could feel the tension melting away as we opened our hearts to the possibilities of the day. It was like the universe giving us a big, warm hug, saying, “You’ve got this.”

After our stretching, we broke for breakfast—fresh fruit, parfaits, and the star of the morning, our smoothie bar. Inspired by the luxurious, feel-good vibes of Erewhon, I decided to whip up two concoctions: a Tropical Bliss smoothie, filled with coconut cream and almond goodness, and a Strawberry Dream smoothie that tasted like pure joy in a glass. There’s just something about sipping on a cold, creamy smoothie while the sun kisses your skin that feels like the ultimate luxury. We took our time, savoring each sip, sharing stories, and setting the tone for what was to come.

The next part of the day was where things really heated up. Tee took us through an upper body, arms, and core workout using resistance bands. It was intense, no doubt about it, but in the best possible way. We pushed each other, encouraged each other, and laughed through the sweat. There’s a special kind of bond that forms when you’re working hard together, side by side, cheering each other on. After the workout, we all took a much-deserved break. Lunch was a spread of Mediterranean salad, club sandwiches, and, of course, more of those delicious smoothies. The hot tub jacuzzi was calling, and we listened. We soaked, we swam, and we talked. Real conversations, the kind that go beyond small talk. We shared dreams, fears, and a lot of laughter. Women who had walked in as strangers were now bonding like old friends. It was beautiful.

Our final session was all about the lower body—think squats, lunges, pulsating peaks, and leg lifts. Tee saved the most intense part of the day for last, and by the end, we were all feeling the burn. But as we stood there, catching our breath, the sense of accomplishment was overwhelming. We had worked out for three hours, but we left feeling energized, not exhausted. Full, not empty. We ended the day with hugs, high-fives, and a collective sense of “We did it!” There’s a kind of magic that happens when you challenge yourself and come out stronger on the other side.

The more events we host at L’Eau Hill, the more I realize that we’re not just creating experiences; we’re building a community. Each gathering is a chance to connect, to grow, to share, and to just be. And as we move out of summer and into cooler days, I’m excited to share that our gatherings aren’t stopping. We’re transitioning into a new event series called "Forever Summer" at L’Eau Hill. Because honestly, who wants summer to end? On September 15th, we’ll be sharing our fall lineup, and I can’t wait for you to see what we have in store. We’ve got a Floating Sound Bath with True North coming up that promises to be an evening of peace and transformation under the stars. If you’re interested, you can find more details and sign up here: Floating Sound Bath Event.

Thank you for being a part of this journey with us. Every event, every gathering, and every moment we share makes L’Eau Hill feel more like home. Here’s to more Saturdays that fill our hearts, connect our souls, and remind us of the beauty of being alive.

With all my love,
