Moments of Magic: The TrapFit Pool Party Experience
Dear Friend,
There’s something about the summer air at L’Eau Hill that makes everything feel a bit more magical. Last weekend, we hosted a TrapFit Pool Party, and it was a moment that truly brought to life the vision I’ve had for Summers at L’Eau Hill—a vision of creating a space where people can come together, try something new, and leave feeling connected, refreshed, and inspired.
When we first set out to host this event, I knew it had to be intimate. I’ve always believed that some of the best moments happen in smaller, more personal settings. So, we kept our guest list to just 15 people. This wasn’t just about numbers; it was about creating an environment where everyone could stretch out in the pool, feel comfortable, and most importantly, feel seen. We wanted the day to be judge-free, a space where everyone could just be themselves.
Choosing the right co-host was crucial, and that’s where Taylor from Eat.Sleep.Swim came into the picture. Taylor is more than just a swim instructor—she’s a trained lifeguard, a therapist, and someone who’s been on her own fitness journey. The moment we started planning, I knew we were in sync. Taylor brought this incredible energy that wasn’t just about pushing through a workout, but about enjoying every moment of it. She thought through every detail, from the flow of exercises to the playlist that kept everyone moving. Watching her lead the group, I could feel the care and passion she poured into every second. It was pure magic.
As the event day approached, I found myself thinking about how to add that special Homebody touch, the element that would make this experience uniquely ours. That’s when the idea of the Zero Proof Margarita Mocktail Bar came to me. We wanted to offer something refreshing and celebratory without the buzziness that comes with alcohol. We chose Cut Above Agave Blanco to create margaritas that were light, delicious, and the perfect end to an invigorating workout. Watching our guests sip on their mocktails by the pool, I knew we had hit the mark.
But more than anything, it was the hospitality that made this event what it was. From the moment each guest arrived, we made sure they felt welcomed and cared for. We greeted everyone with genuine warmth, kept waters flowing throughout the workout, and made sure no one felt overlooked. These might seem like small things, but they’re the things that matter. They’re the things that turn an event into an experience.
As the sun began to set, I stepped back for a moment and just watched. Guests were laughing, chatting, and forging new connections over shared stories—some about their surprise at keeping up with the workout, others about their new love for zero-proof tequila. There was a sense of ease, of community, that filled the air. My heart was full, knowing that this was exactly why we created Summers at L’Eau Hill. It was about more than just a pool party; it was about bringing people together in a way that felt meaningful and real.
This event reminded me why I’m so passionate about what we’re building here at L’Eau Hill. It’s not just about hosting events; it’s about creating spaces where people can connect, be themselves, and find a little bit of joy in the process. I’m so grateful to everyone who joined us and made this experience so special.
And as Summers at L’Eau Hill continues to unfold, I’d love to invite you to our next gathering. This Saturday, August 17th, we’re hosting a DIY Pizza Night with Chef Eric. It’s going to be a night of hands-on pizza making, wine tasting, and great company. We’re almost sold out, but a few spots are still open. If you’d like to join us, you can grab your spot here: DIY Pizza Night Event.
Thank you for being a part of this journey with us. I can’t wait to see what else this summer holds.
With love and gratitude,
Erika
